So be aware that past experiences have an affect on how ppl view things and you telling them to “look on the bright side” is just another way of saying “conform to my mindset”. You are wonderful. This post just got even better because of that comment.

Hey Darling, the only thing that I can think of that you can do at this point if just tell him that you  care- that you will always care for him, and if he ever needs you that you will always be there for him. You know that you are not trying to make him feel like an “asshole” so don’t let him bring you down.
